Covering almost 50,000 square km, an area greater than Switzerland, the Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania, East Africa is one of the largest areas set aside for wildlife preservation anywhere in the world. The Selous is a world heritage site.

Jimbiza Lodge is in the buffer zone of Selous Game Reserve right on the banks of the Rufiji river, 4 kilometers from Mtemere gate.
